How to convert meters to kilometers

Any physical quantity can be written as:

Q = nu , where n= numerical value and u = unit used

We know that:

1 m = 0.001 km

1 km = 1000 m

So, you can easily convert your quantity in meters to km by simply multiply it by 0.001

Hence, general formula to convert meters to km:

p(km) = 0.001 × p(m), where p is the numerical value

For example:

Convert 10 meters to km

10 m = 10 × 0.001 km = 0.01 km

About Metre (m)
